This course is about more than just the sewing skills. The social side of sewing is so important so you can guarantee good chat, peer support and a whole load of new crafty friends. Mindset and confidence building is another focus of this class, helping you believe in your new or existing abilities so you can tackle any pattern for years to come. And a new addition is gentle accountability(if you want it!). I know a problem a lot of you have is actually finding the time for yourself, or feeling guilty over making time for yourself. I want to encourage you that looking after yourself, doing something you love that makes you feel good is good for you, benefits those around you too, so it's actually a win-win! When does the course start?
The course starts on Thursday 27th October and runs for 12 weeks then there is 2 weeks after that for peer and expert support and accountability for you to get a project of your choice finished! The course is a mixture of live and pre-recorded sessions which will be released/take place each week. The live session start at 7pm!

Where is the course held?
The course is all online so you can join in wherever you are! The course will be available to everyone via a members portal where all pre-recorded and live recording will be held for you to rewatch at your leisure!

What time is the course at?
The course will be made up of live and pre recorded sessions. When we have a live session it will run from 7pm - 9.30pm. Sometimes less depending on the subject matter that week and sometimes more! For pre-recorded sessions these will be realised on Thursday morning for you to watch at your leisure! You have LIFETIME ACCESS!

What is the weekly time commitment?
There is no weekly time commitment! You can decide to do the entire course at a later date because you are currently too busy. Or you can decide you're going to join us live every week and then spend all week honing your new skills, it's totally up to you! You'll have access to the class hub and the facebook support group looong after the course ends too!

I didn't do the challenge can I still join the course?
Absolutely! There is no disadvantage to not having taken part in the challenge and if you want to watch any of the challenge videos back prior to the course I can make them available to you(but it's not required!).

What will I learn on this course?
Not only will you learn loads of amazing techniques whilst actually making your capsule wardrobe but you will also learn loads from our tutorials videos. Skills include, pattern matching, full bust adjustment, lengthening or shortening a pattern, working stretch and non stretch fabric, buttons, button stands and buttonholes, invisible zips, linings and facings inserting collars and more!

What if I have a question after the class?
Jenny and the team will be on hand to answer your questions throughout the week in the dedicated Facebook group and if you don't use Facebook via email. There will be an online portal for you to log into to watch pre-recorded classes and to rewatch live classes so you do not have to be on Facebook to join this course!

What do I need to join the course?
Almost all the materials you will need are supplied with the course including patterns, fabric, buttons, interfacing and of course patterns! All you need is a sewing machine and basic sewing kit such as scissors and pins. If you need help with either of these let us know!

Do I need to be an amazing sew-er to join this course?
Absolute beginners to sewing will want to get involved with our beginners courses first. However as long as you have a few sewing projects under your belt this course is suitable for you. If you are in any doubt just get in touch with us hello@sewconfident.co.uk and we will help.

When is the next class I can't make this one?
We have no plans to run this class again this year, that's why we're making it available to you to watch back in your own time! So if you fancy it, snap it up before it's too late!

Can I pay the course in monthly instalments?
Yes you can! We have been asked for this a lot in the past and it worked well last time so this time have given you the option to pay over 6 or 12 months!

What sizes do the patterns go upto?
The pattern we are using have a range of Bust 30" - 58 1/4", Waist 23" - 50 1/2" and Hips 32" - 61". You can download the Csize charts below!
I loved doing the confident capsule collection, learned so much from collars, to pockets, from cardigans to trench coats. Having the time and date allocated really makes you set it aside from your daily life to sit with everyone else on the zoom and actually do some sewing. The patterns are fab, the fabric is top notch and great quality, I still wear makes I made last year on the course. There's no way I wasn't going to do the new ccc autumn/winter collection, I've been waiting for Jenny to come up with some kind of new course as I had done the DDD (DRAPE/DRAFT/DESIGN) course before the ccc one. The sew confident community is great, you know you can ask the daftest of questions (and I do) and get nothing but help from everyone. I may not always have time to sit and sew but I'll always be a sew confident member!

I missed out on the challenge last time but did the CCC course which was great! Everything you need coming direct was amazing. I learned loads, made lots of clothes with patterns I wouldn’t have attempted or known where to start with before. Jenny led, encouraged and supported us brilliantly. I loved doing the CCC course last year. I would recommend it to anyone whether they are a beginner sewer or somebody coming back after many years like myself. I have to admit that I initially gasped at the price! But it is definitely worth it. I did all the tutorials and sewalongs in real time because I like having a deadline! I do think doing it during the long winter evenings is probably better for most people, but there is no pressure to do this as there is access to all the tutorials and videos forever. I made things that I never would have thought of making (trench coat!) learned to select the correct size and do pattern adjustments, learned about new fabrics as they were all chosen for us, learned new techniques on my sewing machine and over locker, and best of all, met a great group of online friends while stuck home alone during lockdown. The support from Jenny and the Facebook group is amazing, and it does what it says on the tin, inspires confidence.
